The Principle of Medical Neutrality
This Physicians for Human Rights video provides a brief introduction to the principle of Medical Neutrality, its foundation in medical ethics and international law, violations of Medical Neutrality, and steps that can be taken to protect and promote the principle. I produced, directed, edited, and narrated this video, which I also co-wrote with Andrea Gittleman.
Tao of Leadership
I produced this video for Management Sciences for Health (MSH) as part of their 40th anniversary celebration. MSH is a nonprofit international health organization composed of more than 2,000 people from 73 nations.
Life Under the Junta (video)
In 2010, Physicians for Human Rights investigated alleged human rights violations in Burma’s Chin State. PHR’s report, “Life Under the Junta: Evidence of Crimes Against Humanity in Burma’s Chin State”, reveals extraordinary levels of state and military violence against civilian populations. I produced this video to accompany PHR’s advocacy campaign and website, which I also built.
Obama on CNN: PHR Responds
I produced this video as a followup to PHR’s prior piece, “War Crimes and the White House,” after President Obama responded to Anderson Cooper’s questions about PHR’s investigation during an interview on CNN.
War Crimes and the White House
I produced this video as part of a Physicians for Human Rights campaign advocating for a Department of Justice investigation. I wrote, directed, edited, and narrated the video, which was featured on Daily Kos and many other notable media outlets.
La Fleuve du Mal
After witnessing the devastation caused by the willful neglect of Zimbabwe’s people by the Government of Robert Mugabe, PHR detailed the causes and effects of the crisis in their report, “Health in Ruins: PHR Reports on the Man-Made Health Crisis in Zimbabwe”. Commenting on this report, Archbishop Desmond Tutu said “The world must take action against the Mugabe regime for these crimes against humanity”.
Life in the Camps
I produced this slideshow using images from PHR’s investigation into abuses at Farchana and other Darfuri refugee camps in Chad.
Aetna Cares (demo)
Demo (spoof) commercial chock full of motion graphics, sound effects, and sick and twisted humor. Produced almost a decade ago, this was an early experiment in using motion graphics. Not my most advanced or skilled work, but it still makes me laugh.
Wedding Highlights (demo)
An early demo video, set to music, using wedding footage shot by Dream Video. I created the looping motion background using footage of a water wheel from the wedding.
Jenn London Promo
Early promotional music video for singer-songwriter Jenn London. MiniDV footage of a live performance mixed with a previously recorded television interview. Several songs were edited and mixed together, flowing seamlessly from one to the next.
